Controversy over the presence of Motta in honor of Jimmy Carter

The businessman Stanley Motta was present at the award offered by President Juan Carlos Varela to the ex president of US Jimmy Carter.

Motta 's presence at this event, turned social networks, where was a strong rejection about his participation.

One of the first to criticize this action was the deputy of the Democratic Revolutionary Party (PRD), Zulay Rodríguez , who wrote with photography; "Martin Torrijos extending his congratulations to Jimmy Carter with Juan Carlos Varela and Stanley Motta " .

 In other of her speeches she said ; " All the Panamanian Government and the owner of Panama congratulating Jimmy Carter".

For his part, the National Front for the Defense of Economic and Social Rights ( Frenadeso ) asked on Twitter ; "Who will pay for Motta and the PRD, Martin Torrijos and Samuel Lewis at the act of Varela to condecorate Carter? Governance covenant".
