The Second Superior Court upheld the judgment to issue the tenth sixth circuit judge criminal, Ernesto Perez of granting house arrest to former director of the Security Council Alexander Garuz.

The decision of the court of second instance is given after analyzing the medical report from the Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences which states that send Garuz to a prison would jeopardize his life.

To counsel Christopher Grove defender Alejandro Garuz, the court's decision confirms that the order to detain his client represents an inhuman persecution.

The Organized Crime Prosecution had appealed to the court's decision, therefore Garuz being held.

At present, the former official is under arrest in a hospital, recovering from surgery for heart problems and a second operation is expected.

Right now we are in the process of notification of the judgment to the parties..
