Judge of Guarantees, Jerome Mejia, rejected the afternoon of the Tuesday the motion for dismissal requested by the defense of former President Ricardo Martinelli, to bank inquiries conducted by the Attorney magistrate, Oyden ortega, in the case that follows the former president about buying dried food, through the National Assistance Program (PAN)

To support his decision, Mejia argued that the application was "inadmissible because the disputed proceedings have no nature of judicial proceedings".

Protest

But even before the decision to Mejia, the lawyer Sydney Sitton left the room, anticipating the pronouncement that would make the Judge of Guarantees, and claiming that the prosecutor in the case, Judge Oyden Ortega, "a liar" and that contaminated with its contradictions the process.

"The prosecutor magistrate Oyden Ortega has lied. He said he has not asked for account information of Ricardo Martinelli and his companies. And we will have shown to the media, a note where he asked the FAU (Financial Analysis Unit) Ricardo Martinelli banking information, "complained Sitton.
