Sides postponed further debate on reforms

The discussion of the package of electoral reforms continues to show that the period established to conduct the debate will be higher than originally programmed.

Yesterday caucuses that make up the Government Commission of the National Assembly again decided to postpone the first debate of electoral reforms for next Thursday. This also, despite the provisions in the agenda of the Legislative Branch, to end this project as soon as possible.

The president of the Government Commission, Pedro Miguel Gonzalez, deputy confirmed that the extension would, after the caucuses requested additional time to start discussing the reform package.

Gonzalez appealed to major modifications is designed for 25 years.

Last week was the first meeting scheduled to conduct the discussion in the first debate of the bill that integrates the package of reforms to the Electoral Code.
