The insistence of the director of the Social Security Fund (CSS), Estivenson Giron to lease 107 ambulances, continues to generate reactions.

This time it was the comptroller of the Republic, Federico Humbert, who noted that they have already made it known to the board of the Social Security Fund (CSS) that they care about.

"The issue is not whether bought or sold, but there is competition to secure the best possible price," he said yesterday during an inspection of the sanitation project in the Bay of Panama.

"Having to buy at the end of the ambulance contract old may be at the expense of the state, so the Comptroller, in turn, define what to do, but I do not feel comfortable with a process which oblige the state to purchase used equipment "Humbert said.

For this holiday, the state would pay $ 247,422.65 annually for each of these vehicles.

This exceeds by $ 168,672.65 intended to pay what the previous administration of the CSS for the purchase of 80 ambulances.
