The scandals and corruption allegations pointing to several administration officials have made the image of the President, Juan Carlos Varela, has subsided after just 19 months after taking the head of state, assured analysts consulted.

Only 46% of respondents approve of the president, against 50% who consider it as a negative, according to the latest survey by Dichter & Neira.

Political analyst Mario Rognoni, this downturn is related to the allegations that have been made against some of the officials and ministers, to which it appears that the executive does not give importance and let it run.

Among the cases of alleged corruption within the government mentioned by Rognoni is the scandal splashed the Miviot and PAN, based on the ceilings of Hope program.

Moreover, Gucci, the dog escorts Deputy Minister of Social Development, Zulema Sucre, was one of the triggers for the drop in popularity of President Varela.

Political analyst explained that in this particular case, Varela was bad because for the Panamanian, it made sense to dismiss the deputy minister immediately.

According to Dichter & Neira, only 23% of the population believes that this government is transparent in its management, while 74% does not consider it so.

For his part, Carlos Lee, Citizens Alliance for Justice, said the government has been very wrong with their campaign promises, as to be different from the previous government on transparency issues.

"There are many issues that the government is doing and does not perform proper consultation with the population," he said.

He added that for these reasons, people have this perception of panameñista president, which has resulted in low numbers in the survey.

" The topics of nominations has had to the Executive , there was no proper consultation and participation of groups of citizens in relation to some officials that deal with important issues affecting ordinary people's lives " Lee believes .

The doctor and political analyst Mauro Zúñiga was also more drastic to say that the problem is that Varela created many expectations, speak first of transparency, and , secondly , he hopes to solve the basic problems of Panamanians.

"We see that every day things get more complex , are already out and be reported corruption of the current government and no action is taken , the more expensive life and he ( Varela ) not take any action," he remained.

Zuniga Varela recommended to change all that make up his cabinet ministers because none of the " useless " .
