The Credentials Committee of the National Assembly decided yesterday filed the 8 complaints they had against the presiding judge of the Supreme Court of Justice (CSJ), Jose Ayu Prado.
The proposal to close the files received seven votes in favor; one deputy voted against Zulay Rodriguez, capturing his dissenting vote in 24 pages.
They supported the proposal not to research Ayu Prado Members: Jorge Ivan Arrocha, Katleen Levy, José Muñoz, Florentino Abrego, Rony Arauz, Mariela Vega and Alfredo Perez.
The seven files submitted for consideration by the Credentials Committee (eight complaints) were related to complaints filed by Judge Juan Domingo Ibarra, who alleged crimes such as abuse of authority, corruption of public servants and breach of duties of a public servant.
According to the chairman of the commission, Jorge Ivan Arrocha, there were "elements of proof" to support this. Magaly Castillo, Citizens Alliance for Justice, criticized the presence of Mr José Luis Varela and Jorge Alberto Rosas, who are not of that commission.
