The little credibility the Supreme Court (CSJ) has collapsed yesterday, following statements by the magistrate Harry Diaz.

This lawyer , who aspired to happen in the position of presiding judge Jose Ayu Prado, left in evidence an alleged plot against him, setting inside the palace Gil Ponce.

Diaz called with harsh words Ayu Prado. In fact , he called him a traitor because he had entrusted his votes to support him to journey to the presidential chair of the Panamanian supreme.

Moreover, Diaz says his comrade sealed with a verbal agreement granting its decision in the ballot box . But at the time of the election , Diaz did not understand the sudden change of Ayu Prado.  And, until now, has failed to digest. " For many it was a surprise, especially for me . Ayú constantly promised me their votes" said Diaz.

The magistrate said that, although his friends warned him not to trust his word, he always believed.

"Many people called me to say this man was a hypocrite, he (Ayu Prado) want to reelect himself" said Diaz.

But besides that Ayu Prado did not give the vote to Diaz, the bucket of cold water fell on citizenship when it emerged that the two new judges, and Cecilio Cedalise Angela Russo, were who postulated  Ayu Prado.

On the steps of Panamanian politics, there are many questions, considering that Diaz was called "anointed" by the Executive.

Meanwhile, Ayu Prado was the one on the brink after the various allegations against him on the Credentials Committee of the National Assembly.

Upon his reelection, Ayu Prado replied: "I was not aware of that ...". Regarding his vote to guarantee Diaz, who was broken on 4 January, Ayu Prado snapped, "What happens is that we are not robots, we have our thinking, we are nine individuals".

But why Ayu Prado was reelected, why Russo and Cedalise did not support the candidacy of Diaz?

Former presidential candidate Juan Jované said there was some agreement so that a judge appointed by Varela has proposed to Ayu Prado.

"What I can suspect is that there was a kind of agreement. It seems to be an attempt by the Executive to control the judiciary, to create a block type that responds to the government of the day ".

For ihis part, the constitutionalist Miguel Antonio Bernal said that in addition to Diaz, the other robed should make their positions available: " It is no secret that the Court is more corrupt and he is part of that corruption". Finally, political analyst Mario Rognoni said that Diaz was something of a tantrum on the internal affairs between judges". Such statements he did has made more damage to the image of the court" said this source.
