Martinelli's defense attempt to present recusal warning

"The code of conduct is broken",  lawyer Carlos Carrillo raised before the new scandal that has rocked the Panamanian justice, following the controversial statements of Judge Harry Diaz.

Carrillo, part of the legal team of former President Ricardo Martinelli, argued that feel affected because they have to demand that the rights of the defendant are respected.

Although they can not submit the application for recusal against Diaz because the criminal proceedings forced to wait until trial to support it, but Carrillo said they will try to delivery a warning reported.

Still the Supreme Court has to miss a habeas corpus on behalf of the former president.

The lawyer questioned all the maneuvers and try to apply it against Martinelli. "When he began investigating Ricardo Martinelli was a guarantee of two months and now it changed. Now, there is a proposal by name to change the rules again",he said.

"Whatever is going to be negative because you can not subject a person to new rules," Carrillo raised.

He said that if they want to charge now Ricardo Martinelli, Diaz's statements would be out of place, and that the Credentials Committee of the Assembly to give priority to this case.

"The behavior of the stage is going to deteriorate over the Assembly, because they will let other complaints against judges in line," he asked. For Carrillo, the perception that the system is not giving the user a fair answer is obvious.
