Members who sneaked into Credentials generate controversy

Three deputies who slipped, speak to the ear of the president of the Credentials Committee Jorge Ivan Arrocha during yesterday's session.

The presence of deputies closely linked to the Executive Branch José Luis "Popi" Varela, Adolfo Valderrama and Jorge Alberto Rosas (Panameñistas) in the legislative Credentials Committee when complaints were studied against a judge of the Supreme Court (CSJ) Jose Ayu Prado, continues to generate reactions against what happened.

The secretary general of the Democratic Revolutionary Party (PRD) Carlos Perez Herrera wrote in his twitter account that "without elaborating if he had not filed complaints against Ayu Prado what did the staff of the Panameñistas in the commission if they did not vote" .

"Even when the Panamanian government will leave the show trying to deflect the problems away while there is a crisis d water, + insecurity?" Perez Herrera also wrote on his twitter account.

While panameñista Jorge Gamboa Arosemena wrote in his twitter account that they were "rattling". He noted that with the little IQ because the legislative committee Credentials two geniuses of "ratcheting" were needed.

Meanwhile, attorney Magaly Castillo said in his twitter account that is worrying that concern was the deputy Varela sends messages against the complainant in the case of Ayu Prado, Judge Juan Domingo Ibarra.

"The tweets of Popi Varela against a whistleblower are worrying. Who will dare to denounce corruption after this? "Castillo wrote in his twitter account.

In parallel, the ruling "Popi" Varela defended the decision of the commissioners credentials with the argument that "if the Assembly reaches a complaint against Ayú or any other evidence magistrate will act the same foma than in the past".

"Decreed illegally an impediment output to a foreigner convicted in money laundering for q not pudier be extradited to their country," wrote "Popi" Varela referring to actions of Judge Ibarra, but did not explain what he was doing in the commission without being a member her.

The bylaws of the entity allows deputies who are not members of a committee attend meetings only with voice, however, which caused suspicion yesterday was that they were very close figures to the Executive who went to the session related Ayú complaints against Padro and "whisper".
