The director of the National Authority of Transparency and Access to Information (Antai), Angelica Maytín, will meet with the head of the Ministry of Education (Meduca), Marcela Paredes, to see the issue of scandal purchases of goods by the entity.

Sources close to the case explained that the meeting between the two officials hierarchy will develop in the Meduca, at 11:00 a.m.

Meanwhile, the director of the National Anti-Corruption Front, Enrique "Chito" Montenegro said that both Antai as the Attorney General, the Comptroller General's Office and the Office of Auditors should investigate these irregularities.

"All acts which have largely vices of illegality or doubt the certainty it should be investigated," he said.

He said corruption or attempts must not go unpunished.

Montenegro said that reading about the scandal, thought the minister Paredes was a careful person, however, are being closely spaced, corruption denouncing the Association of Teachers and Suntracs.

"We have to investigate everything, because that can not be so, because they are making the same vices of the past," he stressed.

He said the figure of Allan Figueroa in Eduholding and Smart Fortune companies seem to indicate that there is a possible influence peddling towards certain people.

The scandal is related to the purchase of goods by the company Eduholding and Smart Fortuner, allegedly linked to Figueroa, a household name in the Meduca.
