TVN Media workers declare on strike

In a general assembly of the union of workers of the company TVN Media (includes channels 2, 9 and TVN Radio), whose main shareholder is Stanley Motta, giving the campaign of President Juan Carlos Varela, it was decided to go on strike from March 9.

Sources linked to the union explained to the general assembly also approved to submit to the Ministry of Labor and Workforce Development (Mitradel) a list of demands to the non-payment of a bonus to employees of the television station plant that had to be canceled in December last year, as required by the collective agreement.

They indicated that the administration offered first channel 20% of their salary, then 33%, however, the negotiating team requested at least 66% as was done in 2014.

The sources explained that trusted employees and department heads already received 33% of the bonus in December.

They noted that in December, channel management told the union that the bonus would be paid, but then he explained that revenues were not as estimated and had many expenses, but another source said that instead of spending were investments .
